Chris Brown has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons once again this week.
Apparently having a shit fit on Good Morning America, after being asked some probing questions about his ex-girlfriend Rihanna (which he allegedly consented to), he went on a one man wrecking mission, trashing the set, and supposedly busting a window.
It seems a shame that someone so immensely talented has gone off the rails once more, especially after his comeback was well and truly going to plan. This however could derail it for good.
The entire world was, and still is, against Chris Brown for his despicable actions to his ex-girlfriend Rihanna at an awards ceremony a couple of years back. However, it seemed as though he had served his “sentence” if you will, and was just getting back on with his life, and his career.
His comeback track with Chipmunk, “Champion”, did really well on the charts, nearly hitting the top spot, and his first solo single since coming back into the mainstream conscious, having kept a relatively low profile since his previous indiscretion, was a belter, with Yeah 3X being one of the stand out tracks of the year thus far. His next single was due shortly, and he could well have been back on track, putting the past behind him.
His actions two years ago will never be excusable, but that doesn’t mean that we all couldn’t have moved on, and enjoyed his music once more. Yeah 3X was the best track he has released since the double whammy of With You and Forever back in 2008.
The new video was also the finest example yet of his killer dance moves, and along with Usher, may just well be the best dancer around in the music business at the moment. It would be a shame to see someone with such a gift throw it all away because of his temperament.
Hopefully he will move forward from this once more, but how many times can he lose his rag, damage his reputation, and still maintain his credibility?
