Whilst at work today, I managed to have a flick through last Friday’s edition of The Sentinel newspaper. I was pretty annoyed to find out that I had missed out on a free concert at Hanley Park, Stoke this past weekend. On Saturday, there was a free concert for the public which saw Chipmunk and Katy B perform sets to presumably hundreds/thousands of people.
Massively disappointed that (a) I didn’t know about this, and (b) I missed a free gig! I really do need to start reading The Sentinel more often.
Sure, I may not be inclined to pay to go and see Chipmunk or Katy B (although I wouldn’t mind seeing both of them), but I would definitely have gone to this had I known about it. They are two fairly big acts in their own right, so it’s great to see them making an appearance in a place like Stoke, and I am pretty gutted I didn’t go to this.
I am sure it would have been pretty good too, especially since it was free!!
Better be keeping my eyes peeled for things like this then, so I don’t make this “school-boy error” once again.
