Biffy Clyro - Revolutions / Live at Wembley

Caught a little taster of this last week on Channel 4 – completely stunning.

Can’t wait to pick this up when it get’s released. Biffy have, over the years, morphed into one of the most exciting, and most consistent bands around, and they have so many awesome songs. Their headline set at Sonisphere is really going to be something very special indeed. I am easily as excited about seeing them as I am the Big Four/Slipknot.

The half hour taster of their DVD saw them play huge version of Machines, Bubbles, Many Of Horror and Mountains – four massive songs, although I must admit, I had forgotten about how great a song Machines was.

Their latest release, showcasing the Wembley leg of last winter’s sell out arena tour is a triumph, showing the transition of Biffy from underground alt rock cult band, into a huge mainstream concern, after years of plying their trade in toilet venues.

Their commercial success is greatly deserved, and has come not a moment too soon.

Revolutions / Live at Wembley – miss this at your peril.
