The Killers have recently returned to the live circuit after over a year off, (allowing Brandon Flowers to release and tour his solo album Flamingo), and it is great to have them back in the mix.
Playing a small club show in Chile, at Teatro La Cupula in Santiago, before their slot at Lollapalooza Festival Chile this weekend, the Indie rock gods played a greatest hits set, covering the best cuts from their career thus far.
The setlist was as follows:
For Reasons Unknown / This Is Your Life / Somebody Told Me / Smile Like You Mean It / Bones / Losing Touch / Bling (Confessions Of A King) / Shadowplay (Joy Division cover) / Spaceman / Human / A Dustland Fairytale / Read My Mind / Mr Brightside / All These Things That I’ve Done / Change Your Mind / Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine / When You Were Young
After listening to some truly dire Indie records over the last few weeks, it is so good to have them back amongst the scene, ready to reclaim their crown as Indie’s guiding lights.
They have some great songs, and are brilliant live, so I look forward to them showing the pretenders how it really should be done in the near future!
Indie music has never needed them as much as it does right now.
