In spite of
being pretty much universally acclaimed, and touted by many critics as one of
the albums of 2012 (barely a few weeks into 2012), as expected, there is not
much here to review at all.
Given To The
Wild is as dull as they come, and throughout, every single song sounds pretty
much the same; a relentless, unforgiving dirge of epic proportions.
I like Indie as
much as the next guy when it is executed right; with this though, it is hard to
see what all the fuss has been about. It is forgettable, boring, and has, to my
ears at least, no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
I didn’t enjoy
one song on this album whatsoever.
